It’s great to see how DCIM has evolved in the last four years. Back in 2013, many end-users considered this as just another tactical tool. In 2016, it’s become a critical aspect of management strategy. The demand for tools that can provide solutions for more than one problem have also played a vital role in the evolving use of DCIM.
Integration at the CI level has become more important and the integrity of the DCIM repository has become high priority. Another trend that can dominate this sector in the coming days is the use of built-in-sensors as they can report power usage, internal temperature and physical security.
